A menu is sent out each Friday. We ask that dinner money be paid weekly at the beginning of the week for the appropriate number of days your child will be having a school lunch. Any cheques should be made payable to Powys County Council. Any meals missed through absence will be credited to you when your child returns to school. The current cost of school meals is 2.20 per day. If you think that your child may be entitled to free school meals please contact the school.

If you would prefer your child to bring a packed lunch please ensure it is sent in a sealed named non breakable containers and appropriately cooled since we are unable to store packed lunches in the school fridge.

We encourage children to drink water throughout the day and to this end children can bring a bottle of water into the classroom to which they have access at all times. Free milk is availble to all infant children. Fruit is allowed to be brought in for snacks at break time. A variety of fruits will be available to buy in school each day at a cost of 25p or your child can bring their own. Friday remains Free Choice Friday where children are free to bring in a snack of their choice. Naturally we would suggest a healthy option on that day too.

Children are encouraged to sit in mixed Key Stages and use appropriate table manners. There is always a lunchtime supervisor on duty to assist the children. Parents are very welcome to share mealtimes with their children. Anyone wishing to book an adult meal should contact the kitchen or a member of staff at the beginning of the school day.
